...1980. During the recording of the album 'Juju', Siouxsie and
Budgie are left to their own devices in the studio. The result is
a sparse drum and voice song, 'But Not Them'. It is agreed that no
further instrumentation is needed and a decision is made to record four
more drum and voice songs, which along with 'But Not Them' are released
as a 5 track EP 'Wild Things' under the name The Creatures. New Years Eve 1982, The Creatures fly to Hawaii and record debut album
'Feast' and enjoy their biggest chart success with a cover of Mel
Torme's 'Right Now', which climbs to number 14 in the official
charts. It will be a further 6 years before a break in the
Banshees schedule will enable Siouxsie & Budgie to reconvene and
record the album 'Boomerang' in Spain. Following the Banshees
split in 1996, Siouxsie & Budgie begin work on their new album
'Anima Animus' and turn their attention full time to The
Creatures. Following a brief reunion as the Banshees in 2002, The
Creatures release their final studio album 'Hai! in 2003...
